PLA 3D printing filament and ABS printing filament are relatively cheap and stable in quality. Compared with ABS filament, PLA filament have a lower printing temperature and a small shrinkage rate, so they are not easy to warp when printing. PLA printing filament have a low odor during printing and are not pungent.
According to the different consumables, the most basic is the nozzle of the 3D printer and the hot bed temperature setting. When using PLA filament , recommended that the printing temperature be around 200°C, and the hot bed should be around 50~60°C.
Of course, the parameters are not fixed and need to be adjusted according to the actual situation. For example, the printing temperature needs to be increased when the consumables are placed for a long time, and the printing temperature also needs to be increased for special PLA filament. Worth noting that the printing temperature cannot be increased blindly. When the temperature exceeds 220°C, easy to generate bubbles inside the PLA filament, resulting in poor printing results. Too high temperature of the hot bed will melt the bottom of the model.
When PLA printing filament is exposed to the environment, it absorbs water and expands and deteriorates. After 3-6 months, began to become brittle gradually and its physical strength decreased, which caused the material to break and block during the printing process. Therefore, it is best to use up the PLA printing filament after removing the sealed packaging within one month.
