Chinese government designated China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Centre (CDGDC) to be responsible to initiate Asian National Information Centres Coordinating Website (ANICCW). %Purpose and Functions ANICCW provides a professional platform for qualifications recognition and assessment from Asian member countries of ASEM. It also welcomes participation of other Asian countries. It is designed to provide comprehensive and dynamic information in qualifications assessment, a platform of exchange for professionals to initiate research, and a platform in cross-border education quality assurance. Besides, it endeavors to initiate a practical daily communicative channel for professionals between Asia and Europe in qualifications assessment. Meanwhile, it is also a source to get information in education, overseas study, qualifications assessment etc. %Details of ANICCW Homepage The homepage will present news and information on quality assurance and qualification recognition in a specific country, in the region and around the world. Besides, there is a list of countries at the left side of the homepage for a specific member country to demonstrate its information separately. At the top of the homepage, there is a menu with 7 sections listed including News, Education Information, Joint Research, Recognition Collaboration, CBQAN, Practical Information and About Us as described below. (1) News There are 3 parts in this section: International News, ASEMME News, and ANICCW News. The news should be focused on qualification recognition and quality assurance. International News is the update of worldwide events in qualification recognition and quality assurance. ASEM News refers to events and notice released by ASEM Education Secretariat. ANICCW News is a collection of events regarding qualification recognition and quality assurance in member countries. (2) Education Information In order to encourage a more transparent and comparable manner in educational system and qualifications, this section tries to provide information from member countries including Country Education Overview, Education System, Education Authority, and Qualifications Framework. (3) Joint Research This section is designed to present achievements and statistics in qualification recognition and quality assurance in member countries. It includes Research Findings, Publications, Data and Statistics. Research Findings and Publications refer to independent, bi-lateral or multi-lateral progrmmes in quality assurance and qualification recognition. Data and Statistics provide information such as lists of recognized higher education institutions. (4) Recognition Collaboration This part includes Mutual Recognition Agreements, Qualifications Comparison, and a Forum. In this section, readers can find lists of Mutual Recognition Agreements. Qualifications Comparison is a major function of ANICCW, which provides the information of more than one country in a comparative manner. A forum will be created in this section for professional from different member countries to communicate and consult with each other. (5) CBQAN Cross-border education quality assurance is an important part in qualification assessment and recognition. This section is designed to present results of international exchanges in CBQA, which contains QA Mechanics, News & Events, Comparative Research, Programme Review, Academic Activity and About CBQAN. (6) Practical Information It is a section that member countries should provide information for mobility, which contains Online Qualifications Verification, Scholarship, Overseas Study, and Student Visa Policy. (7) About Us About Us is an introduction of ANICCW. It includes About ANICCW and Information Management which describes the information management measures of ANICCW. Part II Collaborative Organization & Contact Person Nomination Request and Information Collection Request China is the initiator of the website and Secretariat of the website will be provided by China. China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Centre (CDGDC) is designated to be the Secretariat which is responsible for development, operation and maintenance of the website; coordination of information submitting and information review and publishing; and organizing meetings and other activities concerned. Other Asian members of ASEM are all participating countries of the website and therefore, should designate relevant organizations as collaborative organizations which are responsible for providing relevant educational information, assuring accuracy and efficiency of the information, and doing their utmost to help the development and operation of the website if necessary. In order to fulfill our objective to make trial operation, we need Asian member countries of ASEM and other Asian countries to designate collaborative organizations to name specific contacts to help us with the development and operation of ANICCW.
